Do you plan to introduce checkpoints in the app?

Good news: checkpoint/resume is now live in version 2.31, for both Windows and Linux. If a task is stopped — a reboot, a BOINC restart, a crash — it now picks up where it left off instead of starting from zero, and the CPU time already spent is kept. Suspend/resume also properly pauses the solver now. New tasks get 2.31 automatically; tasks already running on older versions finish on those. Thanks for pushing on this, it was the right call.
